The Royal Photographic Society of Thailand (RPST) under the Royal Patronage is inviting photography enthusiasts nationwide to submit entries for the “Chill Mountain Views” Photography Contest, under the concept “Million-Baht Views, Win Millions.” The contest celebrates the serene beauty of mountain landscapes and aims to inspire appreciation for nature and conservation awareness.
A total of 24 selected photographs will each receive compensation, with combined prizes worth over 1 million baht. Entries are open from today until 24 July 2025. For full details and submission guidelines, visit www.rpst.or.th.
Mr Tul Hirunyalawan, President of RPST, said, “With the aim of promoting nature-based tourism and encouraging creative expression, the Society is organising this contest to highlight the tranquil beauty of mountain destinations. We hope these images will inspire a greater commitment to environmental and natural resource conservation.”
The contest is divided into two categories, with 12 selected photographs in each:
- Mountain and Sky Views: e.g. sunrise, sunset, or sea of mist
- Mountain and Natural Phenomena: e.g. rain, rainbow, moonlight, stars, Milky Way, light phenomena, or storms
Submission guidelines include:
- Only vertical images with a 1:4 width-to-height ratio are accepted
- The original uncropped file must accompany the submission
- There are no restrictions on when the photo was taken
- Selected entrants will be contacted individually by RPST; results will not be announced publicly
This initiative reinforces RPST’s role in fostering photographic talent while advocating for environmental appreciation through the art of photography.
