One of the Kingdom's best-known travel events, the Thai International Travel Fair (TITF) is taking place again on Aug 22-25. This time the venue will be the Challenger Hall 2 of Impact Muang Thong Thani.

Organised twice a year by the Thai Travel Agents Association, the upcoming TITF will be the 25th of its kind. With over 1,000 booths, the event promises to feature special offers on hotels and resorts, tour programmes, cruises, rental cars, travel passes, pocket Wi-Fi, travel gear and accessories, and many more.

Fairgoers who make purchases with credit cards also enjoy a variety of additional benefits which include the chance to take part in lucky draws for three cars.

Tiptoe through the tulips

Due to the late arrival of rain in the area, Sai Thong National Park of Chaiyaphum province announced that the blooms of bua sawan or Siam tulip (Curcuma alismatifolia), the park's major attraction, will arrive late this year. But the natural floral extravaganza should be in full swing in time for the next long holiday, which will last from the second weekend of August to Mother's Day on Monday, Aug 12.

Meanwhile, at Pa Hin Ngam National Park, another popular destination for bua sawan lovers, which is about 40km south of Sai Thong, the flowers in Thung 1 zone have been in peak condition since last week and those in the other two zones will soon follow.
