Whatever you need at whatever time of the day

TRAVEL
Around the clock

Imagine this scenario: it's late at night -- really late at night. It's so late that even the street food vendors have gone to bed. You're not sleepy. In fact, you actually don't want to sleep.

You've got stuff you want to do. You might want to eat but most restos are closed and you're not willing to lower your standards and just get a sandwich from our beloved convenience store. You might want to get some work done with friends who are night owls but you haven't got a place where you can hunker down and be energised to work. You might want to pull an all-nighter to study for that exam in the morning or to get your paper in but you know if you stay at home you'll end up being sucked into the endless Netflix void. Or maybe you just feel like working out. But it's so late, there's no way you'll be able to do any of these things -- or is there? Ah, the joys of having establishments other than FamilyMart or 7-Eleven open for 24 hours. Whatever time of the day, As the Friends theme goes, these places will be there for you.

Samyan Mitrtown

Samyan-Mitrtown.com

Having opened two weeks ago, Samyan Mitrtown is the new hub of dining and shopping on Rama IV. More specifically, it will probably be the latest haven and retreat for stressed out uni students in the neighbouring Chula faculties. Samyan Mitrtown is more than just a mall as it also houses offices, a condo and a hotel, and is setting itself up to be a lifestyle hub. Obviously, it also has a 24-hour zone and the great thing about it is that it's got a lot of stuff to keep you occupied. Food, of course, is a no-brainer, so it's not a surprise that the king of all 24/7 convenience stores, 7-Eleven, is present. But microwaved food is not your only choice. They've also got a KFC, which has been touted as a "one of a kind", as well as the Phra Nakhorn Boat Noodle shop, which is the famous shop in Victory Monument, that stays open 24 hours, among other restos. Want to do some late-night work? The Samyan Co-op space has a bunch of different... um, spaces for you that help minimise distractions and increase productivity so you're procrastinating but actually gets some work done. Feel like a late-night workout? Celebrity Fitness welcomes your gym flow anytime. Whatever you feel like doing, Samyan Mitrtown's 24-hour zone probably has it for you... except for sleeping because if you want to sleep then why have you left your bed?

The Hive Bangkok

TheHive.co.th

Originally founded in Hong Kong, The Hive now has co-working spaces in seven countries, including Thailand. They have two locations: Thong Lor and Phra Khanong. Aside from having the usual amenities of a co-working space like fast Wi-Fi, meeting rooms and tonnes of coffee, each of their spaces is designed gracefully that they've been recognised as a "boutique co-working network". They've even got a rooftop garden! Whether you're looking for a space to do some work by yourself or it's you and your team that has to do some brainstorming for your start-up, The Hive can accommodate you. Obviously, since it's on this list, you're able to come any time of the day or night though it must be noted that 24/7 access is available to members only. You're going to have to sign up for a membership if you want to fully avail of their services, but if you just want to see what they have to offer, you're in luck. Not only does The Hive have a number of events they host, they've also got what they call "Try Out Mondays" where you can get a taste of what it's like to have your own space.

Hubba

Hubba, not to be confused by the exclamation used when you see someone extremely fine, has prided itself to be the "first co-working space in Thailand" and is on its way to have eight locations open by the end of the year, with an international location coming soon. Aside from the five co-working spaces all over the city, they host a number of events and promise to plug in your burgeoning company into the start-up ecosystem not just locally but globally, which means you won't only discover other start-ups but also potentially find investors who would be interested in helping you out with yours. They also have a number of different training programmes like speed hackathons and a speaker series. Plus, if you need a mailing address, you can also get a virtual office complete with mail management and a receptionist. Once again, there is round-the-clock access but you're going to have to sign up for a monthly membership.

25 Degrees Bangkok

It's only fitting that the next item on the list is a burger place. Now yes, having a burger resto that's open around the clock so you can satiate your cravings is already heaven-sent, but 25 Degrees Bangkok has got more than just its 24-hour operating time going for it. For one thing, it's the only burger resto open all day and all night. But moving on from that, 25 Degrees Bangkok has also been named the champion of the "Great American Burger Competition" three times. That should say something about what their burgers are like. And really, you can't go wrong with whatever burger you choose to have from their menu. Aside from that, they've also got a number of classic American favourites, as well as a variety of milkshakes, which are -- and I cannot stress this enough -- must-haves. Finally, they've also got a bar that's fully stocked with wine and liquor. Come on, stop lying and admit you're tempted to take a 3am burger outing here.

Redd Premium Self-Storage

REDD.global

If you've already got limited space at home and your stuffs starting to pile up, it may be time to start thinking about storage space outside of your home especially if you don't have houses with attics or basements like the cool people do. Redd has a number of storage spaces for you to choose from starting with a small, 1.50m² space to a one that's large enough to store a car. They can also pick up and deliver what you want to store back to your space. Plus, security is assured with CCTV monitoring, 24/7 security and as part of their policy, they don't make a copy of your locks. The around-the-clock aspect of it isn't just the security but your space is accessible to you whenever you want to, so if you want to store something or get something in the middle of the night -- for whatever reason, we won't ask -- you can do just that. Just don't go "Santa Clarita Diet" on your storage space, okay? If you know, you know.
