Good news for expats in Thailand! To promote domestic tourism, there will be plenty of promotions offered during the "Expat Travel Deal 2020" at the Quartier Gallery of EmQuartier, Sukhumvit Road, from Friday to Sunday, 10am to 10pm.

Organised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the fair will present products and services from leading travel associations, golf courses, airlines, spas and restaurants from across the country to encourage expat residents to travel more domestically and discover some of the amazing experiences Thailand has to offer. Expats can expect to see special offers from Michelin-starred restaurants including Ledu and Blue Elephant; Divana, Oasis and Let's Relax spas; Bangkok Airways, Thai Smile and AirAsia airlines; and the Alipay online platform.

Travel agencies from the five regions -- north, central, south, east and northeast -- will offer customised travel packages at discounted rates.

However, expats are required to present their passports to be eligible for the special deals at the event. There will also be a showcase of local arts and craft-making such as ceramic bead bracelets and Thai reed mats as well as tourism-related talk sessions.

Some of the topics include "Travelling In Thailand During the Covid Era" by Chattan Kunjara Na Ayudhya, TAT's deputy governor for international marketing (Asia and South Pacific) and "The New Era Of Elephant Care Tourism" by Theerapat Trungprakan from the Thai Elephant Alliance Association.

There is no admission fee. Call 1672.
