Formerly known as Imperial Boat House, this property on the northeastern side of the island underwent a major renovation and relaunched in January this year.
Now owned by Asset World Corporation (AWC) and -- as its new name suggests -- operated by a Spanish chain, the revamped beachside resort boasts a more modern feel. Its iconic boat suites, for example, have been refurbished and so has the accommodation in the larger buildings where rooms on the ground floor, like the one I stayed in, have direct access to the lagoon pool which is one of the resort's new features.
