Wat Arun Ratchawararam has introduced a virtual tour for those who want to know more about the temple while it remains closed until the end of this month.
The website 360.kaenkaewontour.com/watarun features a temple map, 360-degree view and Thai language clips telling its history.
To explore the site, you can click on the world icon. An interactive map will pop up. It has colour pins on some attractions. The red colour will bring you to a short video clip of that spot. The green pin will lead you to outdoor areas allowing you to see the ambience of the temple. The blue pin will lead you to a 360-degree view inside five major buildings such as the ubosot (ordination hall) of the temple, which you can zoom in to see details of the murals.
Unfortunately, the website does not have audio or text guides.
National parks close
About 20 national parks have been closed to the public.
The parks are Chet Sao Noi in Saraburi, Phu Toey in Suphan Buri, Thap Lan in Nakhon Ratchasima, Tat Mok in Phetchabun, Pang Sida in Sa Kaeo and Khao Sip Ha Chan in Chanthaburi.
The parks in the North are Khun Nan, Khun Sathan, Doi Phu Kha and Sri Nan in Nan, Wiang Kosai in Phrae, Khun Phawo, Mae Moei and Pha Charoen in Tak.
Located in the South are Namtok Ngao in Chumphon, Lamnam Kra Buri in Ranong and Tai Rom Yen in Surat Thani.
In addition, some national parks announced a partial closure for services such as accommodation, camping and access to natural trails or waterfalls until the end of this month. The parks are Mu Koh Chang in Trat, Doi Inthanon in Chiang Mai and Erawan in Kanchanaburi.

The Airports of Thailand Ground Aviation Services (AOTGA) has introduced Covid-19 disinfection service to homes and the private sector within a 10km radius of Don Mueang and Phuket international airports.
According to the company, it will use Netbiokem DSAM, a multipurpose disinfectant cleaner used in the aviation industry.
Promotion prices start from 1,290 baht for a condominium unit of not more than 50m², 2,290 baht for a house (51-100m²) and 3,290 baht for an office between 101m² and 200m².
The company also offers 10% off on top of the promotion when booking by tomorrow.

AIRLINES UPDATE
- Thai Vietjet has launched Thailand Power Pass offering unlimited flight passes up to 12 months.
The offer has two options. The six-month pass at 12,000 baht and the 12-month pass at 19,000 baht excluding tax and surcharges. The airline offers a 5% discount for SkyFUN members.
Thailand Power Pass will be available until Jan 31.

- Bangkok Airways has temporarily suspended five domestic routes until Jan 31.
The routes are Samui-Phuket, Phuket-Hat Yai, Bangkok-Sukhothai, Bangkok-Trat and Phuket-U Tapao in Rayong.
Meanwhile, the airline has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Community Development Department to sell selected One Tambon One Product items on its commercial flights.
