Supergroup BTS want people in Bangkok to visit the South Korean capital Seoul.

The Seoul Tourism Oragnisation said on Wednesday Bangkok has been selected as one of the seven cities in Asia where residents would see two BTS members, RM and Jin, in three video clips played on outdoor screens enticing travellers to the South Korean capital. The other cities include Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur.

The campaign is designed to bring more tourists to Seoul as the travel industry recovers in the wake of dwindling Covid-19 cases and fatalities.

The first clip, which was uploaded on YouTube on Friday, has drawn 29 million views so far.

Meanwhile, just as South Korea aims to woo Thais to visit Seoul, the Tourism Authority of Thailand has launched a campaign to entice more South Koreans to visit the kingdom.

The country is targeting 500,000 arrivals from South Korea this year and 1.3 million in 2023.
