From March 15-17, the ''Art Of Salt Fair'' will take place at Kilometre Posts 25 and 41 of Rural Development Highway No.2021 in Phetchaburi's Ban Laem district. Visitors will have an opportunity to see sculptures made of salt, visit Ban Laem Salt Museum and shop for products and food from all over the district.

Hosted by the Tourism Authority of Thailand's local office and the province's commercial office with support from Rajabhat University Phetchaburi, Phetchaburi's Biz Club and One Tambon One Product (Otop) networks, Ban Laem Salt Farmers' Co-Operative and other local groups, the event is aimed at creating educational activities based on travel experiences on the ''Salt Road'' and promoting travel along the Klong Khone-Bang Taboon-Ban Laem-Hat Chao-Cha-am route.
At the 25th kilometre post near the co-op visitors can visit the Salt Museum (open from 9am-4pm) and learn how to make salt as well as buy local dried seafood and sweets. At the 41st kilometre post opposite a PTT petrol station, visitors can view the country's first salt sculpture, enjoy a salt spa and salt-colouring activities, learn more from the big model of a salt farm, learn how to drive a tractor to grind salt and take pictures with windmills and a giant kilometre post as well as taste and buy local delicacies, such as clams sprinkled with toddy palm sugar and pan-fried mussels.
Two tours will be held by agencies for interested persons. The first tour from March 16-17 (priced 2,200 baht) will explore the Salt Road, a mangrove forest, Cha-am beach, Wat Huay Mongkol, a floating market, Santorini Park, Wat Phetsamut and Amphawa. Call 02-972-9423.
The second tour on March 16 (priced 1,050 baht per adult and 850 baht per child) will take in the Salt Farming Museum, a mangrove forest, the statue of King Taksin the Great, Wat Nai Klang and Bang Taboon Shipyard as well as include dinner. Call 02-197-0288.

Sweet grapes festival in Ratchaburi
From March 15-21, the annual ''Sweet Grapes And Prized Goods Of Damnoen Saduak Festival'' will be held at Wat Ratcharoentham in Ratchaburi's Damnoen Saduak district. Activities will include a beauty contest, fruit and vegetable contests, sales of farm produce and Otop goods, a noodle eating contest, boat towing by hand contests, a spicy fruit salad cooking contest, a muay thalay contest, a grape harvesting contest and concerts.

Suphan Buri music fest
The Suphan Buri Music Festival will take place from March 16-17, from 5-11.30pm at Utthayan Mangkorn Sawan Garden in Muang district of Suphan Buri province.
The line-up includes more than 100 popular singers and bands. Among local acts are Film Ratthaphum, Four Mod, Fay Fang Kaew, Blackjack, Three Two One, Ai Nam, Kwanjit Sriprachan, Seri Rungsawang, Noo Metre, Baitoey R Siam and Touch Na Takuathung. Mary Wong from Singapore, Annita from Laos and Airplane from South Korea will also perform.
Apart from music, visitors can enjoy street shows and lucky draws in the garden and hot-air balloon rides for sightseeing.
