Get wet at Future Park
Future Park will take visitors back in time to witness the classic atmosphere of traditional Songkran festival celebrations next week.
The ‘Songkran Wonderland’ fair will provide fun at Future Park.
Running from April 10-14 at the Cascata, ground floor, the “Songkran Wonderland” fair is decorated with floral sculptures in a tiger design, which represents the vehicle of 2014’s Songkran goddess.
The five-day event is an opportunity for Buddhist visitors to be blessed by pouring water on nine sacred Buddha images borrowed from nine renowned temples.
They include Phra Sri Ariya Maitreya (Luang Pho To) from Wat Inthraravihara, Phra Buddha Chinnarat from Wat Benchamabophit Dusitvanaram Rachavoravihara and Phra Sri Sakayamunee from Wat Suthat Thep Wararam Rachavoramahavihara.
Available for sale will be vintage-style products such as toys of yesteryear, decorative items and collectibles. There is also a traditional Thai play-themed 3D photo corner, entertaining activities and light music by the Sornsilp Natamuaythai group.
There is no admission fee.
Future Park is located on Phahon Yothin Road.
