Police pursue terrified drug dealer

CHON BURI - A dramatic video shows police pursuing a woman drug dealer - a chase that led to one officer being injured, five vehicles damaged and the seizure of 678 methamphetamine pills.

It occurs during a police sting operation on Tuesday in Bang Lamung district, Chon Buri.

The footage shows an SUV, driven by 28-year-old Nujaree Nongprue, driving through a police blockade. The suspect crashes into four police vehicles and a civilian pickup truck during her attempt to flee. One police officer sustains a head injury in the crash.

Police shoot out all four tyres of the SUV, but the driver refuses to stop and races off.

Police track down the SUV by following the tyre marks left on the road and arrest the suspect, found hiding under a tree behind a house.

Following the arrest, police said Ms Nujaree was previously sentenced to three years in prison on drug trafficking charges. A year after her release she resumed drug dealing, bought herself a new SUV and brand-name products.
