Information

Chiang Rai's 9 Art Gallery/Architect Studio presents "Journey & Peaceful Life", an exhibition by Jakkrit Moonta-in, an artist well known for his heart-warming paintings that portray the beauty of a simple and peaceful lifestyle in rural northern Thailand. On display will be 25 acrylic on canvas paintings inspired by the artist's childhood in a tranquil Lanna village where gentle and generous people lived closely with nature and appreciated the prosperity of their homeland. Jakkrit uses warm colours to depict rural households, birds with a landscape of paddy fields in the background, and the simple livelihood of family members. The paintings are reminiscent of the good old days, which inspires viewers to slow down in their fast-paced material world, and long for a self-sufficient and peaceful life. Journey&Peaceful Life will be on show at 9 Art Gallery/ Architect Studio from April 7 until May 15. The opening ceremony is on April 7 at 7pm. The gallery is located on Phahon Yothin Road, Chiang Rai province, and is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am-8pm. Call 053-719-110.
