Even in the digital age few would dispute that Parker pens continue to set the standard when it comes to presenting the written word. That's why so many celebrities joined the party to launch Parker's new store at CentralWorld _ its third brand shop worldwide and the flagship shop in Asia.

ML Katatong Tongyai, Paul Naruenartwanich, Radittat Prabhananda, Nonthiwat Prabhananda and Puripan Bunnag.

Many remember how it was obligatory to have a Parker pen in their pencil cases when they went to school.

The concept of the exclusive party was "Write Your Own Story", created by celebrated artist and designer Bruno Moinard, who is well-known for his work with several other global luxury brands.

Voraphot Seungdhammaros, general manager of Newell Rubbermaid (Thailand), said: "This flagship store is the third in the world to be created under this concept."

Piyapan Pao In, Thitipong Lorprasert and Kraiserm Totubtieng.

The brand's traditional arrow trademark and champagne colour are among Parker's signature legacies, as is the use of birchwood to convey warmth.

Activities at the event included well known celebrities reminiscing about their favourite pens.

Among those who shared their experiences were ML Parson Svasti who talked of his life as a food critic using the pen; columnist Ploy Chariyaves who recounted her experiences in using Parker pens to write her travel pieces; artist "Pip" Ravit Teutvongse who spoke about the composition of his beautiful pen drawings; and "Moo" Polpat Asavaprapha who recalled the early days of his Asava fashion brand through a collection of sketches he put together.

As a finale, there was a mini-fashion show to demonstrate Parker's latest pen collections and accessories, presented by leading models such as Nawat "Pong" Kulrattanarak, Pakorn "Boy" Chatborirak, Phuphum "Ken" Bhumiratana and Kimberley Anne Tiamsiri.
