In-form Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk cruised to victory the men's single finals of the US$120,000 SCG Thailand Open on Sunday in straight sets.
The top seed of the tournament and world No. 26 notched a 21-15, 21-16 win over second seed Sony Dwi Kuncoro of Indonesia, ranked 32nd in the world, in a packed Nimibutr Stadium.
But it was a disappointing day for another Thai ace, Bussanan Ongbamrungphan, the tournament's third seed and world No.16, as she lost 25-23, 21-8 to unseeded world No.35 Aya Ohori of Japan in the women's single finals.
Puttita Supajirakul and Sapsiree Taepattanachai won the women's doubles after defeating Mayu Matsumoto and Wakana Nagahara 21-12, 21-17.
