so what ?? thailand does not consider him as a national anymore, after all, the immigration dept cancelled his passport .. basically, he is travelling as a citizen of Montenegro now ...
he is a persona non grata for thailand and as long as he stay out, then there wont be any problem ...
let thaksin squander, abuse and sell the assets of cambodia ... he is no longer thailans problem

I'm a US citizen with security clearance. I was sent to Afghanistan to help the 3rd poorest people in the world. We don't tell them US secrets. As long as Thaksin does not divulge the government secrets he was privy to when he was PM, then it's not traitorous. Besides, since when Thailand has viewed Cambodia, one of the poorest countries, as a threat?
Let's try to be objective here.

BLABLABLA...BUT NO FOOOOCUSSSSSSSSS..
Tha Kingdom of Thailand has a million things far more important to consider, rather than Thaksin and Hun Sen (Lawrel & Hardy) together in "Amazing Cambodia".
Cheers & good luck on the -short/medium/long??- plans for developing Cambodia!!!!
And long live THE KINGDOM OF THAILAND!!!!!!!
(ah...one last thing...: don't forget that Khun Thaksin -weather you like him or not- was ousted by a coup d'etat.

Why are PTP,UDD and Red Shirts keeping silent about the Fugitive's role as Hun Sen economic adviser? He had decided to abandon everything for his own personal gain. He would definitely receive a Cambodia diplomatic passport since he does not possess a Thai passport.

As retired expat I would not want to be in Thailand if this Thaksin issue continues & I think the reports that will be made in the press will also effect many potential visitors plans there,,possible airport closures and tanks are not good tourist draws,,hurting Thailand & her wonderful people

"The sad thing is, a government isnt about making money its about using it to help people which is why a Thaksin government will never work. The attitude that its ok if he steals as long as we get some too just isnt good enough" .
Well spoken CHARLIE. (Discussion 9 : 09/11/2009)
TRUTH TODAY sums it up in saying: "Now he is working for Hun Sen, who also works ceaselessly to undermine Thailand's prosperity, and for his own benefit. There is nothing else to call this but treason on Thaksin's behalf." (Diskuss. 16)
I think we can accept what CHARLIE and TRUTH TODAY said here. When we accept this then
we get a factual picture of Mr. Thaksin.
A man in the moral category of Al Capone.
--- and we can take from there
**PS In the years that Taksin came to power, the whole world was on a high level of general living. Thailand also swam on a wave crest.
Today- we have a quite different situation on the globe. Our PM today has like the heads of most normal families nowadays fight to make ends meet. (only on another level as you and me)

Playing with nationalism is a dangerous thing .

Has there been another case where a former head of state of one country went to work for a neighboring country and not been deemed a traitor?
I'd really like to know.
