Empowering the Porsche brand or A driving force behind Porsche's success

In today's fiercely competitive business landscape, success is not solely determined by the quality of products, but also by the integration of strategy and brand empowerment.

One individual who epitomises this principle is Pawarapa Dupassakoon, the Marketing and PR Director of Porsche Thailand by AAS Group.

Pawarapa's journey within Porsche Thailand began 14 years ago in the marketing department, where she oversaw 10 core sales units. Her approach reflects her belief that understanding is paramount to success.

"To do anything well, you have to understand it first," she emphasises, a philosophy that has become ingrained in her as she seamlessly integrates all facets of the Porsche brand into her work.

Thus, she pursued and studied every aspect of the Porsche Brand, from exciting Porsche models to customer experiences, customer profiles, Porsche vision and strategy, ecosystem and shareholder relations, and the overall customer experience with the brand.

At the heart of Porsche Thailand's success, she believes in creating a transparent and constructive working environment where team members feel empowered to share their ideas and opinions freely.

"My team members can feel free to share their ideas, opinions, and actions. Having greater autonomy brings new challenges which often take our employees outside their comfort zone," she said. By fostering a culture of empowerment, Pawarapa ensures that her team delivers their best performance, both internally and externally.

Central to Pawarapa's leadership philosophy is the importance of shared alignment and vision. She emphasises the need to involve her team in goal-setting and ensure that they are aligned with Porsche Thailand's overall mission and strategic plans.

"Empowerment necessarily leads to diversified solutions, and this diversification is the birthplace of innovation," she affirms. By embracing new solutions and ideas, Pawarapa drives continuous improvement and propels Porsche Thailand to new heights of success.

In navigating the ever-changing landscape of generational and cultural dynamics, Pawarapa's adaptability and foresight shine through.

"I am in the somewhat sweet spot-like area of being able to adapt to older generational dynamics, but at the same time, I understand the needs of younger people coming into the workforce," she noted.

"They might need flexible work arrangements and have different opinions towards work ethics and their roles. So, it’s important to make sure everyone works on tasks that correspond with their strengths."

However, she believes the ability to adapt to change is very important.

“It is not the strongest of the species nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change," she asserts, echoing the sentiments of Charles Darwin.

Looking ahead, Pawarapa remains steadfast in her commitment to Porsche Thailand's growth and success. Her vision for the future includes distributing at least 2,500 Porsche vehicles in 2025 and ensuring the delivery of unparalleled customer experiences.

"Porsche does not just want to meet customers’ expectations but to exceed them," she declares. Through empowered people and a relentless focus on quality, Pawarapa aims to cement Porsche Thailand's position as a leader in the automotive industry.

"I’m delighted to be a part of Porsche Thailand's success story,” she declares. “In 2023, Porsche was celebrating its 30th anniversary in Thailand. Today, the passion of the Porsche community in Thailand is renowned across the globe."

For aspiring working women, particularly in sectors with limited female representation, Pawarapa offers sage advice rooted in confidence and passion.

"You must have confidence in your capabilities and find your voice," she advises. By believing in oneself and staying true to one's passion, Pawarapa believes that aspiring female leaders can overcome any obstacle and achieve their dreams.

“ Pawarapa remains steadfast in her commitment to Porsche Thailand's growth and success. Her vision for the future includes distributing at least 2,500 Porsche vehicles in 2025 and ensuring the delivery of unparalleled customer experiences. ”
