Thirty-eight Thai evacuees from Ukraine arrived at Suvarnabhumi airport via Frankfurt on Wednesday morning and 58 others were due via Dubai around noon.

The first 38 evacuees arrived at Suvarnabhumi airport at 6.25am on a Thai Airways International flight. The second group, of 58, was due on an Emirates flight.

The airport’s Covid-19 Emergency Operation centre coordinated with the airlines, the Foreign Affairs Ministry, international communicable disease control, the Immigration Bureau and Customs Office to ensure the evacuation went smoothly.

Officials said earlier that upon arriving in Thailand the evacuated Thais would be sent to Sattahip naval base for a 1-day quarantine, per Test & Go rules, as all had received at least two shots of Covid-19 vaccine.
