Proud Limpongpan is chief marketing officer of Zipmex. With international experience in the tech and retail sectors, she has garnered wide-ranging media coverage from CNN, The New York Times and Vogue.
Ms Proud has spent her career identifying demand in the market and building up companies from scratch or from turnarounds of majority buyouts.
At Zipmex, she manages the group’s overall growth and branding strategy, aiming to make it the region’s most innovative fintech company.
In an interview with the Bangkok Post, she revealed her ultimate goal at Zipmex.
“My long-term goal is to make Zipmex a brand that everyone knows, not just a financial institution. I want it to be a lifestyle for everyone,” said Ms Proud.
“We are committed to building a financial architecture to empower everyone to enjoy digital assets.”
She said using digital innovation to enable greater mobility for Zipmex’s users is her favourite part of working for Asia’s fastest-growing digital asset platform.
This year Zipmex entered the non-fungible token (NFT) market linked to the metaverse.
“Thailand has made great progress in the field of digital assets as people have a strong interest and enjoy using social media. As a result, we entered the metaverse to meet customers’ demands and needs”, said Ms Proud.
“We dream that Zipmex will be a leading digital company in every aspect. When you think and act, we believe it is possible.”
Prior to Zipmex, she grew a manufacturing company by 16 times in revenue within three years. Ms Proud also assisted a New York-based private equity firm in completing the global operational transformation of a jewellery brand.
She worked at Kate Spade & Company’s Tech Product Strategy Group, where many of her initiatives were adopted and can be seen in stores today.
Ms Proud received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics.
