The marketing agency Publicis Groupe Thailand has acquired digital agency Brilliant & Million, hoping the move will lead to 20% growth this year.

Nick Law, chief creative and president of Publicis Groupe, said acquiring Brilliant & Million will strengthen the digital marketing capabilities of the group.

"Brilliant & Million is one of the best digital agencies in Thailand that specialises in complete strategic planning through online social media and digital media," he said.

"To strengthen digital marketing communication capabilities, Publicis Groupe Thailand has chosen Brilliant & Million to be part of the company."

Songkran Sethesompobe, chief executive of Publicis Groupe Thailand, said he is confident the acquisition will lead to sharing of experience and expertise, as well as increasing the quality of their workforce.

"We are confident a digital agency like Brilliant & Million Co will make the digital business grow by leaps and bounds, with an expectation of a 20% growth for the first year," Mr Songkran said.

He said this is just the first step for the company in 2019.

"We still have many more plans that will make Publicis Groupe a modern agency with extensive experience and expertise in both online and offline platforms," said Mr Songkran.

Sorada Sonprasit, chief executive of Brilliant & Million, said being part of Publicis Groupe is a good step for the company.

She said this year digital marketing and technologies would play a prominent role in enhancing consumers' creative journey via digital communication.

"We believe our expertise in online social media, digital media and technology integration, which includes online data analysis of platforms, will help promote our understanding of different target groups' behaviours," said Ms Sorada.

"These insights will add to Publicis' strengths in terms of creativity, and will benefit the company's customers."
