CS LoxInfo rebranded itself on Tuesday to CSL after being acquired by Advanced Info Service (AIS) last year, expecting to be a huge revenue boon for the parent company as it pursues a strategy to provide full-scale information and communication technology (ICT) services for enterprises.

AIS expects revenue to grow by 20% from its enterprise business in 2020, increasing from an estimated 15% this year.

Yongsit Rojsrikul, chief enterprise business officer of CSL, said AIS via subsidiary Advanced Wireless Network (AWN) proposed to buy a 42% stake in CS LoxInfo in late 2017 through Thaicom Plc, another subsidiary of AIS's parent company InTouch. The negotiations eventually led to AIS acquiring a 99.5% stake in CS LoxInfo in mid-2018.

"Synergy between AIS and CS LoxInfo's operations is a perfect match for the enterprise business," Mr Yongsit said.

He said AIS is a good partner because it is the largest mobile operator with nationwide fibre-optic network coverage, telco cloud infrastructure, Internet of Thing (IoT) ecosystems and strong application development team.

CS LoxInfo is a leading ICT service provider with multiple data centres in nine locations across the country that are carrier-neutral, open to connect with all providers.

The company also provides integrated ICT solutions and diversified cloud services to enterprise customers.

AIS has 110,000 corporate customers, of which more than 5,000 are in industries such as aviation, financial groups, and banks already handled by CS LoxInfo.

"Based on the strength of CSL becoming part of AIS, which has the most reliable digital infrastructure, we are ready to reach businesses in all regions throughout Thailand," Mr Yongsit said.

Somchai Kittichaikoonkit, acting chief executive and managing director of CS LoxInfo, said it aims to be a one-stop ICT service via its 3S strategy.

The first S, representing data centre and cloud solutions, can be customised to meet the needs of each business group and provide complete consultation offering unique services.

Despite being mostly owned by AIS, CS LoxInfo plans to be carrier-neutral, allowing its corporate clients to choose to use any network service from its preferred service provider without conditions.

At present, many service providers have already connected to systems such as TOT, CAT, True, UIH, Jastel, Interlink, Symphony, ALT Telecom and AWN.

Customers can connect directly to internet service providers both in Thailand and abroad via CSL Thai-IX service, enhancing connection speed at a lower cost but with superior performance, with charges according to usage, said Mr Somchai.

The second S, managed service, provides a 24-hour expert service team with comprehensive care to leading organisations in a variety of industries.

The last S, system integration, is a service that combines modern innovation to fit the needs of customers by collaborating with IT solutions service partners, offering integrated solutions for hardware, software, cloud solutions, security solutions and cabling.
