Central Pattana Plc (CPN) is launching online delivery and drive-thru services to lessen the impact of a decline in shoppers due to the latest Covid-19 wave.

The service is available at CentralWorld, Central Village and Central Phuket, and the company plans to include more shopping centres in the future.

Customers can purchase products or order food from restaurants located in the mall via the @CentralLife Line account.

"Central Pattana is ready to cooperate with the government in order to fight the Covid-19 pandemic," said Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, executive vice-president of marketing at CPN.

"Although we are implementing stringent public health and safety measures, we have also taken the initiative to provide support to our tenants in our shopping centres after the authorities announced a temporary ban on in-person dining from May 1-14 in certain provinces."

Through the Line account, customers can see product catalogues at nearby shopping centres and order through the chat function.

"Moreover, we also have the 'Chat & Shop On Demand' service available through the 020 [online-to-offline] strategy which includes multiple platforms with live chat and delivery features," he said.

"This will be the first time in Thailand that products from over 200 world-class brands can be purchased online through the luxury outlet chat & shop on demand service by Central Village. We are acting as a coordinator between shops and customers via Line and Facebook. Many top brands have joined forces with us and we expect this initiative will help boost sales," said Mr Nattakit.
