Thai courier Kerry Express (KEX) is preparing to launch its own e-wallet, in conjunction with Sabuy Technology.
Kerry Wallet, the end-to-end e-payment solution and platform, will soon be available to support a variety of payment methods to assist Kerry's customers with their business opportunities and growth, said the company.
During its launch at Money Expo from May 12-15 at Impact Muang Thong Thani, Kerry Express deputy chief executive Prapat Siangjan and chief operations officer Warawut Natpradith unveiled Kerry Wallet's features alongside Sabuy Technology chief executive Chookiat Rujanapornpajee and head of channel management Korkiat Wattanakasikul.
Kerry Express wants Kerry Wallet to be a digital wallet that caters to diverse lifestyles in the era of digital transformation and cashless payments.
Pre-registered users of the wallet receive benefits from Kerry Express, including special discounts and additional Kerry Club points, among many others.
The wallet is expected to be linked to all payment solutions offered by its shareholders, namely VGI and Rabbit, as well as partners and customers. This is part of the company's strategy to operate as a neutral open business platform.
Customers will be allowed to top up the wallet at more than 56,000 Termsabuy Plus top-up machines nationwide, as well as 100,000 service points of Sabuy's partners, including the ShipSmile store and another 4,000 parcel service points nationwide, according to Kerry Express.
Customers can use Kerry Wallet to pay for products and services in the Sabuy ecosystem, including food courts at Lotus's and department stores nationwide. The e-wallet allows customers to buy products from Vending Plus machines installed in department stores, factories and various community areas, said Kerry Express.
