SET-listed GMM Grammy Plc will launch a new business strategy to enhance the company's competitiveness in digital platform services and secure its leadership in providing content for digital TV.

Chief marketing officer Phawit Chitrakorn voiced confidence that the latest business strategy, called "total media solution", would create the utmost benefit for clients.

Total media solution means Grammy will offer a complete package for clients by leveraging the company's advantage in on-ground businesses such as concerts, on-air content such as Grammy's two digital TV channels, and online content through YouTube and Line TV.

"This will surely boost revenue generated from advertisers because they can address the right message to the right target group," Mr Phawit said.

He declined to reveal the exact increase in revenue expected from the launch of the new business strategy, but he said it would make a healthy profit for the company.

Meanwhile, Grammy chairman Paiboon Damrongchaitham said the company was "ready to rumble" on the digital platform, citing Grammy's fan base of 38 million, mostly on Facebook; 17 billion views on its YouTube channel; and 1.3 billion views on the Line TV app.

But he reiterated that the regulator must speed up its action plan to help those digital TV operators in financial straits ahead of the third instalment of the auction fee due on May 22.

He said Grammy would be ready to pay the instalment on time if the regulator fostered a smooth digital transition as promised.

GMM Grammy posted a net profit of 143 million baht on revenue totalling 7.3 billion during the first nine months of 2015.

GRAMMY shares closed yesterday on the Stock Exchange of Thailand at 7.40 baht, down five satang, in trade worth 1.28 million baht.
