Transport Co expects the delivery of rented brand-new buses next year after the state enterprise announces the e-bidding winner.
Transport Co will call the e-bidding for the renting of 314 buses next week and board chairman Surapol Tapananon said on Monday the winner will be announced by year-end.
The state-run bus firm has set aside 2.2 billion baht for the rental project under a four-year contract. It is part of the plans to improve its fleet.
Lt Gen Surapol said Transport Co expected the first lot of buses will be handed over by the winner by June next year and the rest a month later.
Transport Co plans to buy 99 new buses worth 600 million baht and rent 55 microbuses for 230 million baht in the future.
