Ms. Duangjai Asawachintachit, Secretary-General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) met with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) Parliamentary Committee on 8 September 2022 at the residence of the ambassador of Switzerland to Thailand, during the committee’s visit to Thailand from 5-9 September, 2022. Ms. Duangjai provided the committee with an overview of the Thai economy, and information about the BOI’s investment policies and services. EFTA membership comprises Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. Negotiations on a Thai-EFTA free trade agreement (FTA) started in June 2022.
