Mr. Thanawat Trivisvavet, Managing Director of CK Power PLC, was honoured with the award for "Best Leadership in the Sustainable Energy Industry: Mr. Thanawat Trivisvavet – Thailand," while CKPower itself was recognised as a corporate role model for the "Best Sustainable Development Strategy, Energy Sector – Thailand."

Mr. Thanawat Trivisvavet also highlighted CKPower's readiness to support and contribute to energy security by ensuring the efficient operation of all power plants, aligning with Thailand's power development plan. This plan seeks to bolster national energy security and attract local and international investments, guaranteeing the consistent supply of uninterrupted electricity to the public and business sectors, thus avoiding widespread blackouts experienced in certain countries.
CKPower's ambitious goals include increasing renewable energy production capacity from 93% to 95% or 4,800 megawatts by 2024, achieved through investments in various renewable energy projects, including solar, hydro, and wind energy. In 2022, the company's power plants generated 9.5 million megawatt-hours (MWh) of clean electricity for Thailand, constituting 5% of the nation's total electricity consumption and over 18% of its renewable energy consumption.
Furthermore, CKPower is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions to less than 723,674 carbon dioxide-equivalent tons (tCO2e) within 2023. As of June 30, the company had already exceeded this target, maintaining emissions at 354,851 carbon dioxide-equivalent tons (tCO2e). The company's plans also encompass a reduction in energy consumption and increased resource efficiency, promoting the use of electric vehicles and boosting renewables-based electricity usage from the current 88% to 92% by year-end.
