Siam Piwat Group, led by Mayuree Chaipromprasith, president for corporate affairs and communications, fifth from right (front row), is bolstering its business ecosystem with a partnership with over 16 leading airline partners to attract quality tourists to its leading shopping destinations in Bangkok.

Real estate and retail developer Siam Piwat has teamed up with 16 airlines to draw more foreign arrivals, particularly high-quality visitors, as part of its strategy to reinforce its position as the No.1 global destination developer.

The company and its partners aim to offer the "ultimate experience" to customers, growing its business and helping to drive the economy.

"We're joining forces with partners at home and abroad to further solidify our top-of-mind position and put Thailand on the map as the ultimate destination for visitors from around the world," said Mayuree Chaipromprasith, president for corporate affairs and communications at Siam Piwat Co.

The company is the operator of Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery, Iconsiam, ICS and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok.

"Seeking strategic partners will deliver extraordinary experiences, ranging from pre-trip, during-the-trip, to post-trip," said Mrs Mayuree.

The 16 airline partners are: AirAsia, Air Canada, Air Charter Service (Thailand), Bangkok Airways, Cathay Pacific, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Emirates, Eva Air, Japan Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Starlux Airlines, Thai Airways and VietJet Air.

Amornrat Kongsawat, vice-president for marketing at Bangkok Airways, said passengers will enjoy exclusive privileges at Siam Piwat malls.

Keri Lui, country manager for Thailand and Myanmar at Cathay Pacific, said one of the airline's exclusive privileges is passengers and ONESIAM members can exchange ONESIAM coins for Asia Miles and vice versa.

Mohammed Alwahedi, manager of Emirates for Thailand, said the airline is committed to offering travel convenience and exclusive lifestyle options for customers via collaborations with popular shopping destinations that will build on their exceptional travel experience.

Air Canada is offering a 5% discount for Thai passengers when purchasing any type of ticket while China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Starlux Airlines are offering passengers a welcome gift and a welcome drink upon showing their boarding pass and a Siam Gift Card when meeting the spending requirement.

Qantas offers ONESIAM members discounts of up to 6% and an additional 10-kilogramme baggage allowance when using their services.

THREE STRATEGIES

Siam Piwat is implementing three strategies in a move to further bolster its leadership in developing world-class destinations. It is part of ONESIAM Experience, which brings together the strength of the six properties and ONESIAM SuperApp.

Collaborating with the 16 airlines is part of the "Expand Reach" strategy, which also includes talks with online travel agencies, providers of telecommunications services as well as TagThai, a tourism service platform, in order to best suit the needs of travellers.

Siam Piwat collaborates with partners serving high-net-worth individuals by offering exclusive privileges, for example, private jet and helicopter services.

It also teams up with Mice (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) operators to better serve business travellers.

The second strategy, "Elevate Experience", offers in-mall privileges, including a Tourist Card for shopping at 500 stores and shuttle bus services, as well as out-of-mall privileges which, in collaboration with shopping centres in eight countries, offer global privileges to members of partner malls.

Siam Piwat is also introducing Tourist Webapp, enabling visitors to register for a Tourist Card with greater convenience, while frequent visitors can become ONESIAM members to enjoy a wide range of privileges.

The third strategy, "Excite Market", joins forces with various partners to organise iconic events that will serve as major highlights for the country and the world, such as Chinese New Year festivals, Songkran festivals, Fashion Weeks and New Year's countdowns.

It also works with global partners to bring to life events and activities across its shopping centres, including Pride Month.
