SPCG completes solar power farms

SPCG Plc (SPCG), Thailand's biggest developer of solar farms, has completed 30 megawatts of sun-powered capacity, it said in a filing on Thursday.

Four projects of 7.46 megawatts each were finished this month and will start commercial operations on Jan 31, chief executive officer Wandee Khunchornyakong said in a statement sent to the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET).

The farms have signed contracts to sell their power to the Provincial Electricity Authority of Thailand, according to the statement.

They will receive a 10-year subsidy of eight baht (25 cents) per kilowatt-hour, CEO Wandee said.
