IRPC has been upgraded from the UN Global Compact

IRPC Public Co., Ltd., has had its accreditation upgraded by the UN Global Compact to GC Advanced level from GC Active Level. The upgrade results from IRPC increasing the scope of its operations reporting in accordance with 21 clauses, as follows: 1. Reporting on implementation of 10 principles put into practice in the organisation (human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption) 2. Reporting in support of UN goals 3. Reporting on leadership and governance for sustainability.

IRPC’s Board of Directors recognises the importance of being part of a global community. As such, it supports being a member of the UN Global Compact on 21 November, 2011, which is the pride of IRPC as it moves towards becoming an international company with social responsibility at global level.  The United Nations Global Compact is a United Nations initiative to create a network of business sectors that are socially responsible and aiming to achieve sustainable development.  Its membership comprises over 12,000 leading private and public sector organisations from 145 countries around the world, making it one of the largest socially responsible networks in the world.

IRPC’s intention as a corporate citizen of the world committed to conducting business under the 10 internationally principles, is to be a member of UN Global Compact. The Compact contains four important aspects –  human rights, labour, the environment, anti-corruption –  so as to together promote and develop a world that lives together in peace. IRPC’s philosophy as exercised in its business operations is to develop the company’s business along sustainable lines by committing to balancing the interests of business, society and the environment altogether.
