The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) reported on Tuesday that automotive output in October was the highest in 63 months, with a rise of 20.62% year-on-year to 197,203 units.
The FTI's automotive industry club said overall car output from January to October was 1.8 million units, a rise of 9.75%.
Domestic sales in October rose by 26.8% to 86,931 units, driven by a prevailing healthy economic sentiment.
Overall car sales grew by 20.9% to 833,515 units over the first 10 months of this year.
Vehicle exports in October grew by 2.75% to 93,338 units but export value in October dropped by 2.65% to 48.48 billion baht.
Overall, vehicle exports from January to October increased by 1.2% to 952,125 and the value for the period grew by 0.04% to 499.38 billion baht.
