The Bangkok Chopin Society invites you to a masterclass by award-winning Polish-American pianist and college professor Anna Kijanowska on Sunday from 2-5.30pm.

For the first time in eight years, aspiring Thai piano players will perform compositions by Mozart, Chopin, Debussy and Alberto Ginastera under the close tutelage of the internationally renowned music educator, who has presented masterclasses, recitals and lectures at leading universities and conservatories around the world.

Hailed by The New York Times as "an excellent young Polish pianist" and by Brazilian critics as "the Tina Turner of classical music", Kijanowska is widely known as a promoter and evaluator of contemporary music. She has adjudicated a number of high profile competitions around the world.

Kijanowska is equally at home performing in Carnegie Hall and on the steppes of Mongolia. As a concerto soloist, recitalist and chamber musician, she frequently makes appearances at major European festivals. She's currently a faculty member at the Music Institute in the Fine Arts Department of the University of Silesia in Cieszyn, Poland.

Observer fee is 400 baht. Proceeds go towards BCS's educational and cultural projects for youths. The Bangkok Chopin Society is located on Soi Srinakorn, Linchee Road.

For reservations, call 089-039-6021.
