A unique way to spend Valentine's Day is by visiting the Attractions exhibition by the Liv_ID collective at the French Embassy's "Galleries' Night 2020".
"Galleries' Night" is an event of the cultural programme "Le Fete", organised by the Embassy of France in Thailand. This event is back for the seventh time with the slogan "Love Is In The Art" on Feb 14 and 15. This event is special, as it gathered over 250 artists from Thailand and around the world, and will provide more than 70 galleries to visit.
The "Attractions" exhibition is a one-night event on Feb 14 starting 5pm. The event includes 12 artists who have been paired with local shops, food stalls, and neighbourhoods from 10 different locations around Bangkok's Creative District. Each artist has worked in tandem with their assigned location to create installations, performances and happenings.
Expect a night of gorging on ice cream, being serenaded by a fruit vendor, joining the neighbourhood karaoke, purchasing handmade bamboo lamps, getting a customised Tokyo pancake, and more. Hop on one of the 70 dedicated tuk-tuks and experience the art spaces and galleries like a local.
The artist list includes Chiharu Shinoda, Lee Anantawat, Sareena Sattapon, Mariem B Thidarat Chanchuchua, Yujin Lee, Charuwan Noprumpha, Kamolnalin Kamolnavin, Anita Bacic, Hélène Le Chatelier, Elvire Bonduelle, Jeanne Penjan Lassus, and Wirunwan Pitaktong.
