The 'Ox Light' exhibition will run until the end of this year.

Oxotel Chiang Mai has transformed its 2nd floor into an art space for the "Ox Light" exhibition, which is running until Dec 31.

Organised by Ploy Saeng in collaboration with Nabla Digital, which creates premium-quality interactive digital content, the exhibition features lighting design and lighting installations, projection mapping and interactive art.

The content was created by Nabla's Digital team, led by its founder Methin Pingsuthiwong, who is also a special instructor at Silpakorn University's Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, and Wuttin Chansataboot who won the 2015 Celeste Prize International Art Competition in the Project Prize category in Milan, Italy.

The exhibition has six zones. The first zone presents the flow of an RGB stream in a suburban metallic garden; the second zone consists of a room of infinite light emitted from every single bulb; and the third zone features a night sky filled with shining stars.

The fourth zone sees a white room turned into a colourful space with the use of lighting, decoration and geometric shapes of the mirror; the fifth zone shows shades and shadows of over 500 hanging Thai characters; and the last zone encourages visitors to move their bodies along with the rhythms of music.

Oxotel is a brand new design hostel located on Wua Lai, a cultural road in Chiang Mai. The exhibition opens daily from 11am to 7pm from Monday to Thursday and again between 10am to 9pm from Friday to Sunday.

Entry fee is 180 baht (half price for students and customers of Artisan café).
