At last, the much-anticipated "Bangkok Design Week" will make a comeback with more than 300 programmes to be presented primarily via online channels and also physically at many venues in Bangkok, from Saturday until July 31.

Organised by Creative Economy Agency in collaboration with public and private organisations, the grand festival will open the world of creativity to revitalise Bangkok and unlock urban potential under this year's theme "Resurgence Of Possibilities".

The event will be filled with designs works and creative activities which are divided into seven categories -- work displays and exhibitions, panel discussions, workshops, concerts and performances, tours, creative flea markets, and special offers.

This month will feature mostly online events including nine insightful talks dedicated to various topics -- from arts and crafts, to materials and trends, and to design tools; music and performing arts; online workshops; online market and virtual exhibitions.

Among the highlights will be the "Resilience CV Workshop" by The Infinity that allows participants to travel back in time to explore their failures through "dating", conducted via Zoom on Saturday, at 1pm; "The Talk: Create A Better City Together" presenting stories from the perspectives of four city builders via Facebook: Bangkok Design Week on Sunday, at 2pm; and "Brand's Future Forum 2021: Adaptive Business" featuring branding innovations on May 12, at 2pm.

Visitors will also have the chance to see 11 design projects and research pieces by creators from various fields during the "Design Research Day" on May 13, at 2pm while 20 creative speakers will present fun ideas and works under the theme "I Guess, I Try" through the PechaKucha 20 images x 20 seconds format on May 15, at 2pm.

Also expect to see the return of "Pinkoi Market", which gathers design products from crafts to home decor, clothing, accessories and lifestyle items from across Asia. The online market offers free delivery within the country for purchases made until May 21. Free shipping to Taiwan will be available for purchases made between June 1 and 7.

Both June and July will be packed with physical exhibitions and displays of design works which will take place at many different venues across Bangkok's leading creative economy districts such as Charoen Krung-Song Wat, Samyan, Ari Samphan-Pradiphat and Thong Lor-Ekamai. Visitors will be invited under strict disease control measures.
