Japanese music festival kicks off this Saturday

"80's Japanese Culture Live Music Headliners" is the theme of the Bae Vibes music and art festival which will take place at P.Sherman The Enjoyable Ground, Arun Amarin Road, on Saturday from 12.30-11.30pm.

The chic and trendy festival will feature a live performance by Kid Fresino, a Japanese hip-hop artist, DJ and founding member of the hip-hop unit FlashBack (with JJJ and Febb).

The 28-year-old rapper is hailed as one of the most exciting artists of the era and his music is characterised by innovative soundtracks and the introduction of synthesisers. He debuted his solo album Horseman's Scheme in 2013, followed by both solo and collaborative albums.

The festival will also bring together Japanese pop artists such as Jekd, 2021 Ocean Vibes, Metal Mars, Baifern Chan and Chum and feature a special performance by Rattana -- Na Polycat Vinyl DJ Set's personal project from the Bae Records team, which selects a personal vinyl collection for everyone to listen to.

There will be a fun activity zone that reflects the J-pop culture including illustrations inspired by Japanese art of the 80s, and anime works from famous Japanese artists such as Linnatamm, Domknvb and Simpleseasun. Their exclusive work will be available for sale at the event.

Adding more colour to the day will be souvenir booths, a record shop and Gadhouse Brand, a leading record player store.

Tickets cost 700 baht at the door and 500 baht for early birds including live performances and all activities. However, entry to view the Vinyl DJ Set, illustrations, souvenirs, vinyl records and other activities is 100 baht.
