The Very Company, who's behind the Very Festival and many concerts by foreign music acts, is bringing British indie rock band Arctic Monkeys to Bangkok for the first time in March, following the band's recent announcement of their Asia Tour 2023. Their debut show in Thailand is scheduled for March 9, 2023, at Bitec Hall.

Arctic Monkeys consists of Alex Turner, Jamie Cook, Nick O'Malley and Matt Helders and they formed in 2002. Their debut album Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, which was released in 2006, became the fastest-selling debut album in UK chart history at that time, and won Best British Album at the 2007 Brit Awards. They continue their success and acclaim with three more studio albums before their fifth album AM earned them international fame in no small part due to their global hit Do I Wanna Know?, which now has garnered 1.4 billion views on their YouTube channel.

Their breakout album stayed atop four Billboard charts and became their third album to win British Album of the Year at the Brit Awards. Following a five-year hiatus, they came back with Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino in 2018 which saw a big shift from guitar-oriented work to piano-oriented, earning them a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album. Their seventh album The Car was released in October of this year and feels like a continued exploration from its predecessor as it features an even wide range of influences and genres from orchestral rock, pop lounge to jazz.

The accolades and nominations Arctic Monkeys have received merit dedicated page on Wikipedia as they have 41 wins and 140 nominations under their belts. Both Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not and AM are on the Greatest Albums of All Time lists by NME and Rolling Stone.
