New titles that hit Thai cinemas for your viewing pleasure.

Tee-Yod

Directed by Thaweewat Wanta.

Who’s in it?

Nadech Kugimiya, Denise Jelilcha Kappun, Kajabundit Jaidee, Peerak. Rit Phacharabunyakiat, Rattanawadee Wongthong, Natcha Nina Padowan, Arisara Wongchali and Pramet Noiam.

What’s it about?

Yard and his family live in the countryside. Her house is farmed and gardened. During the winter, one of her younger sisters named Yaem becomes ill. Coincidentally, during this time there are rumours about various dangers about mysterious things. Yaem begans to piece together events. 

Why watch it?

Based on the Pantip novel “Tee Yod… heard the sound of frantic moaning”.


All Fun And Games

Directed by Eren Celeboglu and Ari Costa.

Who’s in it?

Asa Butterfield, Annabeth Gish and Natalia Dyer.

What’s it about?

A group of Salem teens discover a cursed knife that unleashes a demon that forces them to play gruesome, deadly versions of childhood games where there can be no winners, only survivors.

Why watch it?

It is Costa and Celeboglu's feature directorial debut.


So duk 3: Yun joi tin ngai (The White Storm 3: Heaven Or Hell)

Directed by Herman Yau.

Who’s in it?

Aaron Kwok, Ching Wan Lau and Louis Koo.

What’s it about?

An undercover cop who invade a drug cartel led by a notorious Thai drug lord. In classic heroic bloodshed fashion, the two develop a bond of brotherhood.

Why watch it?

The production crew constructed a Thai village set in the New Territories. 


Confinement

Directed by Kelvin Tong

Who’s in it?

Rebecca Lim, Cynthia Koh, Keith Lee, Jordan Voon and Chai Cheng Sheong.

What’s it about?

A pregnant painter moves into a temporary lodging and begins experiencing inexplicable incidents in the house when a confinement nanny is hired to take care of her and her newborn child.

Why watch it?

Filming took place in Malaysia for 24 days.


Not Friends

Directed by  Atta Hemwadee.

Who’s in it?

Anthony Buisseret, Pisitpon Ekpongpisit, Thitiya Jirapornsilp, Tanakorn Tiyanont and Natticha Chantaravareelrkha.

What’s it about?

A film about friendship, dreams, farewell — and also a homage to the love of cinema.

Why watch it?

The feature film debut of an up-and-coming director, Atta Hemwadee.
