Famous street artist 2Choey is offering a unique perspective on life through his artwork during "Rock|Paper|Scissors", which will take place at Trendy Gallery, 2nd floor of River City Bangkok, Charoen Krung 24, from Saturday to Feb 4.
Inspired by the classic hand game of the same name, the artist encourages viewers to see life as this game that persists until our last breath. So, whatever choice they've made, they should embrace the outcome, be it defeat or victory.
As an artist whose personal ideas are not related to anything in particular, 2Choey is the kind of person who likes to question things and is ready to have fun with them in their own way. He chose to draw "fingers" on the faces of various characters with the thinking that such fingers are neutral and do not show emotion in any direction.
His works allows us to ask our society, country and even surroundings questions which can happen endlessly. However, his works of art in each period are based on different drawing techniques.
He immerses in imagination and combines it with brush strokes in various forms that invite people to follow him.
The transition in his own art is due to the way thinking changes with growth, and the constant questioning even of his own work prevents him from doing the same thing over and over again.
All of them have created unique value for every piece of work. What never disappears from his works, however, is his questioning and exposing ideas or inviting people to contemplate on his works.
