Responding to strong viewer response, Netflix has officially renewed The Believers after the debut season soared to the top spot on Netflix Thailand in its first week and sparked conversations across Thai society. An impactful campaign led by The Believers Ltd, a charitable company in the country, also helped to generate buzz for The Believers.

The show managed to spark a fervour for revered artefacts like the Pra Peung Luang amulet and turned Wat Phummaram into a tourist attraction overnight. Alongside this phenomenon, the beloved character monk Dol (Patchai Pakdeesusuk) won over audiences with his charisma and memorable quotes.

The Believers challenged entrenched beliefs and shed light on Buddhist economics in Thailand. Led by talented young actors Teeradon "James" Supapunpinyo, Pachara "Peach" Chirathivat, Achiraya "Ally" Nitibhon and more, the series questioned the connection between faith and wealth, with up-and-coming director Wattanapong Wongwan at the helm.

The Believers is now streaming on Netflix.
