'Painting' the floor with those dancing feet

Studio Zoom will hold the fourth annual "Paint The Floor, Dance The Picture" showcase early next month.

The performance will feature more than 180 child and adult dancers who, with their movements, will paint a picture and tell stories at Srinakharinwirot University's Asok Montri Music and Performing Art Hall 1 on Dec 1 from 5pm to 7pm.

The two-hour programme will include a narration piece, I Am An Artist, by guest dancer Kenneth J Suwan, winner of the Asia-Pacific Dance Competition in Manila in the Contemporary Lyrical Solo category, and second-place winner in the Mixed Duo division.

Two contemporary duets will be performed by veteran dancers and jazz instructors of Studio Zoom _ Invisible by Ekviroun Mathong and Tantcha Kosolprapha, and Love Faded by Kenneth and Angwara Kruajankaew.

Kenichi Kasamatsu and his ZoomboX crew will perform a style of hip-hop dance. Kasamatsu trained at the Broadway Dance Centre in New York for six months.

Several other dance performances are also planned.

Tickets cost 600 baht from Studio Zoom on Sukhumvit Soi 39. Srinakharinwirot University is located on Sukhumvit Soi 23.
