Not only about recreating baby-like rosy cheeks, blushers come in a multitude of colours to deliver a flattering flush.
Hailing itself as an authority in blush, NARS Cosmetics offers 40 shades from Amour (a matte rose pink) to Zen (a neutral beige). The best-selling pink-peach hybrid suits all skin tones for every woman to have an Orgasm -- the name of the shade.
"It gives women who haven't yet experienced it a great reason to try it," quipped make-up artist and photographer Francois Nars.
The iconic blush was launched in 1999, and later he introduced Super Orgasm as a peachy pink with gold glitter. The biggest Orgasm however is a limited edition of the original in an oversized compact available this month at NARS counters.
An event was recently held at Siam Paragon to celebrate the success of the cult classic.
"I never anticipated its success," said Nars. "Looking back, I think the combination of the name and the shade made it so popular. I actually first created the name, then the shade -- I wanted something shocking."
The famed photographer captured the fun and flirty spirit of the blush in a pin-up pose by model MariaCarla Boscono, with the supersized edition opening up to reveal the image.
