Two young emerging artists of the classical music scene in Bangkok, Yada Lee (violin) and Kant Lormsomboon (piano), will perform during the "Gratitude" concert at Sala Sudasiri Sobha concert hall, Lat Phrao 41, this Sunday Aug 4 at 4pm.

As part of the "Thai Talents At Sala Sudasiri Sobha" concert series, the performance will feature Brahms' beautiful and bittersweet Sonata For Violin And Piano No.1 In G Major, Op 78 and Leos Janacek's beautiful and challenging Sonata For Violin And Piano in the repertoire.

Also featured will be two highly contrasting pieces of music -- Ponce's enamouring Estrellita and Gershwin's It Ain't Necessarily So. Both have been arranged for violin and piano by Russian-American violinist Jascha Heifeitz.

Yada Lee is an avid recitalist and chamber musician as well as active orchestral player, with a string of awards. She played with the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra in the 2015-2016 season, has been a member of the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra since 2008, and is also a member of Verbier Festival Orchestra, one of the world's best training orchestras. Kant is a prize winner and a finalist of many competitions in Thailand. Last year he was invited to perform Somtow Sucharitkul's Queen Sirikit Piano Concerto with Siam Sinfonietta under the baton of Trisdee na Patalung. He later performed Beethoven's Triple Concerto with Chulalongkorn University Symphony Orchestra conducted by Silpathorn awarded artist Dr Nora-ath Chanklum.

He graduated with honours with a bachelor of fine and applied arts in piano performance at the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University and is currently pursuing his master's degree in piano chamber music and song interpretation at Mozarteum University Salzburg, Austria.

Tickets cost 700 baht (500 baht for students) inclusive of reception after the concert. Proceeds will go towards the Gift of Life Foundation to help patients in palliative care.
