Thanya Park is transforming its Ozone Square into a miniature version of Taiwan's fabled Jiufen Old Street for its "All Around Taiwan 2019 @ Thanya Park" fair, from tomorrow until Oct 31 from 10am to 6pm.
Held in collaboration with the Taiwan Tourism Bureau Bangkok, the weeklong fair will feature replicas of many attractions found in the mountain town of Jiufen in Northeast Taiwan, not far from Taipei.
The replica street will be lined with more than 30 shops offering authentic food such as fried chicken, bread, stewed pork and bubble milk tea, as well as classic Taiwanese souvenirs including tea and clay teapots.
This will also be shrines dedicated to five Taiwanese deities -- former warlords from five legendary ancient families.
There will be workshops on paper lantern making and calligraphy, as well as a special performance combining traditional folk dance with modern pop music.
Leading tour companies will be offering package tours to Taiwan at prices starting from 11,999 baht. Every 500 baht spent at the fair will entitle you to a souvenir and a chance to win round-trip tickets to Taiwan from China Airlines.
