Elephants are an extremely significant part of our ecosystem. Unfortunately, their habitat has been dwindling over the years. Those concerned with this issue are invited to help raise funds to protect the endangered beasts in an exciting event next week.

Organised by the Bring The Elephant Home Foundation and Wim Hof, aka The Iceman, the "Ice Challenge Fundraiser" is a one-of-a-kind event dedicated to supporting the jumbos and local people in areas where human-elephant conflicts are rife. It will take place at Sam Praya Beach in Prachuap Khiri Khan province, from Dec 18-20.

The challenge is open to every individual who realises the importance of elephants, their value for society and those who embrace conservation strategies that reconcile conservation and human well-being goals. Those looking for the ultimate course in boosting physical, mental and spiritual health are also invited.

Throughout the three days, there will be some amazing activities facilitated by Wim Hof, who has broken a number of records related to cold exposure.

Activities include breathing exercises, ice baths, cave meditation, yoga on the beach, and live music. On the third day, the foundation will help the local community plant trees for elephants and join rangers on a safari to spot wild elephants in their natural habitat.

Participants are asked to donate and/or raise a minimum amount of €1,099 (36,000 baht) which covers all activities, elephant safari and support for community-based elephant conservation.

The event is expected to bring people from all over the world together for a challenge that they will overcome for elephants.
