Along with the autumn/winter 2020 collection, Lunasol has launched its Makeup College on YouTube to provide instructions in applying its new products.
The classes are conducted in Japanese by make-up artist Rika Matsui but viewers can follow step-by-step application instructions and learn, for instance, how to apply metallic and matte shades, do a vertical gradation, or define the lower eyelid with the Eye Coloration palettes.
This season, the New Chic collection features five variations of the eyeshadow palette in order to create five make-up styles: Signature Chic, Stylish Chic, Feminine Chic, Noble Chic and Cool Chic.
The Darjeeling Camel palette renders a tea-like reddish brown tone for the Signature Chic's eye make-up.
Eye Coloration palettes.
Two of the palette's four shades give a dusty nuance and profoundness to the colouration. The third shade is Chrome Color with a dewy and metallic lustre while the fourth shade adds depth to the overall colouration.
Cool Chic's eye make-up distinctly features a vivid blue and a sparkling silver from the limited-edition Russian Blue Eye Coloration palette.
The first season of Lunasol Makeup College comprises of 12 lessons -- four of them are dedicated to the latest eyeshadow palettes.
Fusing Oil Glow foundation.
Other lessons include how to apply Secret Shaper for Lips and Plump Mellow Lips, respectively available in six and 12 shades. Lesson 9 shows how to naturally wear dark colours, such as Deep Velour with a bluish Bordeaux nuance.
The highly adhesive and lustrous lipstick contains botanical oils, collagen and hyaluronic acid. Its double-oil formula demonstrates Lunasol's expertise in this type of cosmetic formulation.
Signature Chic.
A radiant complexion with a flexible coverage is created with the new Fusing Oil Glow Compact solid foundation containing six moisturising botanical oils.
Plump Mello Lips.
Available in pink and orange harmonies, Chic Conscious Blender cheek and face palette is loaded with different shades and textures for highlighting and contouring. Lesson 10 shows the how-to in three steps while the last of the 12 lessons are a summary of the New Chic collection.
In addition, the brand's website features virtual make-up to try on the eyeshadows and lipsticks.

Under Kanebo Cosmetics, Lunasol is more fashion-oriented than sister brands. In the second semester, the Makeup College course extends its lessons to achieve comprehensive head-to-toe beauty, with fashion stylist Ako Tanaka and hairstylist Kenshin as new instructors.
