Each festive season, SK-II releases limited-edition Facial Treatment Essence in an artistic bottle. The skincare brand gears up for the Holiday 2020 season with the bestseller emblazoned with a street art design.

Pitera in black, white or yellow lettering stands out on the three versions of SK-II Pitera Essence Street Art Limited Edition.

Directed by Andrew T. Huang, the launch film features actresses Haruka Ayase, Chloe Moretz and singer/songwriter Leah Dou playfully passing the bottle and singing in three different languages a remix of Mariah Carey's Fantasy.

"This has been an unprecedented year for everyone. We wanted to give a little reason to celebrate in this season of giving," said Sandeep Seth, CEO of Global SK-II. "This year, we brought together elements of pop culture -- street art, music and our brand ambassadors -- to reimagine our holiday gifting campaign with our new SK-II Pitera Essence Street Art Limited Edition."

In the 1970s, SK-II scientists observed how elderly sake brewers had wrinkled faces but soft and youthful hands, which were in constant contact with yeast used in the fermentation process.

Years of research on over 350 yeast strains eventually isolated one for a strictly-controlled natural fermentation process to obtain Pitera, a clear liquid and bio ingredient that mimics the skin's Natural Moisturizing Factor.

Dubbed as Miracle Water, SK-II Facial Treatment Essence contains more than 90% Pitera, rich in vitamins, amino acids, minerals and organic acids, for promoting crystal-clear skin.

Its launch in December 1980 led to a new category of nutrient-infused liquids, integral to an anti-ageing skincare routine.

Every purchase of the limited edition comes with travel-size Facial Treatment Gentle Cleanser, Facial Treatment Clear Lotion and R.N.A. Power Radical New Age Cream as well as furoshiki traditional Japanese wrapping cloth.
