Canitt keeps it real

Khanidtha Daroonnate unveils her latest collection for the new era

The Canitt woman previously appeared fragile and sweet yet seductive as the Thai fashion house leaned towards feminine and vintage designs.

As the world has come to a turning point, founder and creative director Khanidtha Daroonnate opened new doors in designing her latest autumn/winter 2020 ready-to-wear collection, and redefined the image of the Canitt woman through modern, sophisticated, dazzling and elegant looks.

These personalities are represented by Janie Allapach Na Pombhejara, Kimberley Anne Woltemas, Natapohn Tameeruks and Suquan Bulakul, who donned pieces from the autumn/winter collection, titled The New Reality.

The design concept is based on the core idea of escapism and coming to an equilibrium, following this year's unprecedented changes.

"We actually don't attach to seasonal designs because fashion is more about feelings and emotions," said Khanidtha. "We want women to have fun dressing up, not worrying about being in-trend or not, and express their own style in this new era."

Featuring new silhouettes and a touch of sportswear, the collection includes shirt dress, bomber jacket, trench coat, cargo pants and sexy satin slip dresses. Details of the framework in every dress started out with lines on precise patterns with the perfect ratio enhancing femininity.

The palette includes classic beige, off white and dark violet while the season's print, the Chain of Love, features the initials C and N.

"The print represents the bond between us and all women, who wear our clothing," said Khanidtha, who celebrates Canitt's seventh anniversary this year.
