Myriad beautiful flowers bloomed once again for a glorious spectacle as Central Department Store recently celebrated its 73rd anniversary at the Chidlom branch.
The opening of the "Central Anniversary 2020" flower festival was presided over by Phipat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Tourism and Sports, and Thapanee Kiatphaibool, deputy governor for Tourism Products and Business at the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
Nicolo Galante, president of Central Retail Corporation, noted that for the past 26 years, Central Department Store has been staging the annual flower festival to thank its customers for their continued support.
A collaboration between Central Department Store, General Card Services and MasterCard (Thailand), this year's edition themed "The Glory Of Life" presented magnificent floral installations under different concepts, on six floors of Central Chidlom.

On the 1st floor, gladiolus, delphinium, alstroemeria and ilex, symbolising love, optimism, prosperity, and God's love, blossomed in the "Forest Of Joy".
Colourful flowers and light effects made the "Chamber Of Happiness" another highlight to absorb the positive energy.
The "Love, Always!" concept brought a field of purple marguerite daisies, representing sincerity and true love, to the 3rd floor, while the theme changed to "Autumn Glory" on the 4th floor, which was decorated with warm yellow and orange flowers.
On the 6th floor, the "BFF - Best Friends Forever" zone appealed with adorable dog statues with baskets of symbolic blooms, such as cymbidium and calla lily.
The grand opening of the "Central Anniversary 2020" flower festival featured a cooking demonstration by MasterChef Thailand champion Tanapat Suyao, a special performance starring Mik Thongraya and Maylada Susri, and the Dancing Shoe illusion show among many other activities.
