Here's a venue to celebrate Christmas and New Year as if you were in Switzerland. Rim Klong Cafe is bringing the magic of the Swiss holiday season with fun and authentic activities for children as well as epicurean experiences for adults until Jan 6 next year.
Located next to Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort on Witthayu Road, the canal-side coffee shop and bakery has been transformed into an Alpine winter wonderland where children can join a "Decorate Your Grittibänz" competition. Grittibänz is a signature Swiss delight made using sweet leavened dough, baked in the shape of a person. Every Sunday between 2pm and 5pm, the cafe invites youngsters aged 4-15 years to decorate their own grittibänz for the chance to win amazing prizes.
Winners in the 4-7 and 8-11-year-old categories will each receive a Nintendo Switch and the champion of the 12-15-year-old contest will go home with a PlayStation 5. The winners will be announced by a jury of leading Swiss professionals in Bangkok on Jan 6. Entry fee is 500 baht including a welcome drink, a mini buffet and a decorating kit. An exquisite afternoon tea mini-buffet is available for adults at 800 baht per person.
Besides the Festive Afternoon Tea which features an elegant selection of savoury favourites, priced at 899 baht per set for two persons, an enticing array of Swiss-style snacks and drinks will also be served throughout this festive month.
