Bookworms still have five days to enjoy the "Winter Book Fest", which is running at Mitrtown Hall, 5th floor of Samyan Mitrtown, Rama IV Road, daily from 10am to 9pm until Sunday.

Following the success of ABC Book Fest held in the middle of the year, the festival is gathering more than 90 publishers who are offering special discounts on books at 180 booths as well as many fun activities for readers of all ages.

This is an opportunity for readers to meet and talk face-to-face with publishers as well as search for good books to give as gifts to their loved ones as highlighted by the festival's concept of "Give Me Books". There is also a booth which is offering beautiful paper to gift wrap the books.

Besides talks on interesting topics, art workshops and live music by leading artists such as Stoondio, Aomsin, Autta, Duang Dao Diew Dai and Cha Harmony, the event has also brought the "Tolerance Posters Exhibition", which has travelled to 31 countries so far.

Presented by Mirko Ilić, a Bosnian activist artist now living in New York, the exhibition aims to send a message of social acceptance of people whose identities are structurally, socially and culturally diverse.

For the exhibition, he collected 164 posters designed by artists from all over the world and collaborated with fellow artists in each country to present the idea of "unifying" which can lead to "an understanding of the differences" in the world where ethnic, racial, religious and gender segregations are intensifying.

This exhibition uses the power of artistic design to remind us that "we are all the same".

There is also a cool landmark in the middle of the hall where visitors can walk up the stairs to get a bird's-eye view of the festival and relax at a cupcake store which serves edible books.
