A total of 40 works by Japanese artists are on display during "Cross Over Vol.28" at Kalwit Studio & Gallery until Sunday.
This is another chance to get a glimpse of Japanese art and culture reflected through various styles by 19 Japanese artists from various genres such as painters, photographers, graphic designers and performers, including Akari Kawagoe, Eri Sakurai, Error City, Hikari Morizuki, Pito, Ren Kudo, Takahashi Hiraku, Tatebe Miki, Yaka Miura and Yamamoto Nori.
They are among more than 300 artists from Cross Over, a Japanese art collective that has organised international exhibitions and art fairs in several Asian countries with the aim to open doors for them to exhibit their works to the outside world.
Founded four years ago by Yashiro Hiroyuki, a graphic artist and exhibitor widely known as Peddy Pot, the art group is a place where Japanese artists can come together and interact with the international art scene and expand their perspectives and obtain new values.
The group is active mainly in Asia as it is geographically easy for artists to travel between these countries and Japan. So far, they have produced exhibits in Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Cambodia and Myanmar.
Kalwit Studio & Gallery is on Ruamrudee 2, Witthayu Road and open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm. There is no admission fee.
